National Safety & Quality Health Service Standards
At FOCUS Eye Centre we implement the National Safety and Quality Health Service NSQHS Standards
The Australian Commission on Quality and Safety in Healthcare has developed the NQSHS Standards to improve the quality and safety of healthcare in Australia. The NSQHS Standards provide a nationally consistent framework for the level of care consumers can expect from health services.
The Directors and staff at FOCUS Eye Centre are committed to providing care consistent with the NQSHS standards. As part of our safety and quality improvement program we undertake activities to demonstrate and monitor quality outcomes.

The Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights
If you are seeking or receiving care in the Australian health system, you have certain rights regarding the nature of that care. These are described in the Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights. These rights relate to access, safety, respect, communication, participation, privacy and comment.
At Focus Laser Eye Centre we are committed to implementing and instilling The Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights into our practice, as it allows patients, consumers, families, carers and providers to share an understanding of the rights of people receiving health care.
